INTERVIEW: Kanye West sits down with Zane Lowe Pt 1
I found this whole interview to be very insightful, not just because of who Kanye West is as an artist/producer, but also because of what he had to say about the current world we live in. The interview became less and less about "Yeezus" and more and more about the state of the world, creatively speaking. My favorite part was when he spoke on racism, classism, and self hate. That we live in a world where we are okay calling ourselves pimps and players, but are not okay with having the self-esteem to consider ourselves gods. Of course, I don't think he meant that in the religious sense but I do feel that he hit a solid point in urban culture psychology. Why are we so apprehensive to the idea of seeing ourselves in such a high regard? And are we program to behave this way, by the larger corporations as Kanye West states in this interview? The interview raises a litany of good questions and is definitely a great watch. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did. ~alx.O

Already being a fan of the song, I feel like the video takes it to whole new level for me. Very well done and very entertaining. And surprisingly enough, A$AP Rocky did a pretty good job acting I think. Maybe we'll be seeing more of that in the near future. ~alx.O

It feels good to see the whole group together again in a new video. The song is pretty cool, not exactly the best I've ever heard from these guys but I still like it. I can't lie tho, I started feeling a lil old when I saw how much older these guys are now. How far we've come since those "Notorious Thugs" days..lol Anyways, I hope to hear more. I think the game needs a little bit of that Bone Thugs vibe. ~alx.O

I'm not gonna lie, Pap had some hard lines. But I finding it lil hard to completely like this one, solely because Pap's flow is so outdated. I can accept that Pap's been out the game for a minute and is trying get back, that's cool. I pull for him. But him going after newer emcee's with that tired ass flow is just not kosher. I have no idea where this came from but I don't care, I like it. The song has a great feel to it and a very potent message embedded in it's reggae groove. I'm not sure if this will be a common occurrence with Eddie Murphy but if the future music sounds like anything along these lines, I'm pretty sure I'll be posting it. Good shit Eddie ~alx.O
