VIDEO: Choir Sings A Tribute To Nelson Mandela In The Form Of A Flash Mob

It still surprises me how impacted I was by the death of Nelson Mandela. It has invoked within me many harsh yet beautiful moments of reflection. And in those moments of reflection, in some strange way I see myself, not as a single man, but as a man among an ocean of men and women with the all capacity of greatness. A capacity that is ready within reach should we ever decide to acknowledge it. And I believe that is the message that Nelson Mandela dedicated his life to sharing, that we are all capable of greatness, and that it is our responsibility as human beings to always reach for it, even when we are reaching alone. Because when we reach for the greatness that is our god given gift, we inspire others to do the same. And in doing so, we create a better world for everyone. Although gone, his memory and legacy will live forever in his message. R.I.P. Nelson Mandela. ~alx.O

INTERVIEW: Unreleased 2002 Kanye West Interview with MTV

I found this to be very interesting. It crazy how everything he said he would do, he actually did. It's crazy how young he looks and acts, this is Kanye before being beat up by fame. Makes you almost want to go back and stop him from making some of the mistakes he would later make, stop him from moving California, and just try to prevent all the bad shit that happened. But that is life, and footage like this is testament to why you gotta always strive for something greater, because yes Kanye has gone through and done some crazy shit but despite all that he will still go down in history as one the most influential people in music history, ever. And he always knew it. ~alx.O

INTERVIEW: Paxman vs Brand. Full Interview on BBC

I'm not sure if I've ever spoken on here about how big a fan of Russell Brand I am, well needless to say I am a huge fan. But it isn't necessarily his comedy that I am a fan of, it's actually his intelligence that I appreciate the most. His ability to absorb the world in all its abundance and then reiterate his sharp perspective of it in a verbiage that almost feels majestic. Incredibly well spoken and equally well versed in matters of global conscientiousness, so it did not surprise me that he'd make extremely valid points in this interview. It was a great watch so I had to share it, enjoy folks. ~alx.O

NEW MUSIC: Lauryn Hill – Consumerism

I really hope that all the people who claim that real music doesn't exist anymore, support this record and all future Lauren Hill music. She is talking about the all the things that most music heads talk about and personally I feel there should be no reason to not support this record. In my strong opinion, I think this record is fucking great but I wouldn't doubt it if the message goes over most people's heads. Yes, the song is called consumerism but the song is about so much more and I think what I love the most is that it isn't delivered in an easy to digest way. This is a song that you really have to replay at least 4-5 times and really pay attention to really get the full picture. I definitely see myself buying the album, I can't wait to hear what else Ms. Lauren Hill as to say. ~alx.O
