NEW VIDEO: JayZ "MADE IN AMERICA" Documentary (Directed By Ron Howard) 90mins

I found this to be extremely inspiring, so much so I had to share it. I know one day I will grace that stage and the whole world is gonna know my name. I also know that I won't be alone in that moment. I know theres a whole bunch of people out there just like me, grinding and pushing harder than anyone they know. So I dedicate this post to all of us because we're all "Made In America". ~alx.O

NEW MUSIC: Lauryn Hill – Consumerism

I really hope that all the people who claim that real music doesn't exist anymore, support this record and all future Lauren Hill music. She is talking about the all the things that most music heads talk about and personally I feel there should be no reason to not support this record. In my strong opinion, I think this record is fucking great but I wouldn't doubt it if the message goes over most people's heads. Yes, the song is called consumerism but the song is about so much more and I think what I love the most is that it isn't delivered in an easy to digest way. This is a song that you really have to replay at least 4-5 times and really pay attention to really get the full picture. I definitely see myself buying the album, I can't wait to hear what else Ms. Lauren Hill as to say. ~alx.O

NEW VIDEO: Pusha T Feat. Kendrick Lamar - Nosetalgia

Although Pusha T's verse was really dope, I think Kdot fucking killed his verse.

He said:

"Could never show you the world I was in
When I was TEN
Back when 9 ounces had got you TEN
And 9 times out of TEN
Niggas don't pay atTENtion
And when theres TENsion in the air
Clips come with exTENsions"

I mean the rest of the verse is equally dope but that part stood the most for me. Kdot definitely is one the new legends in the making. ~alx.O

INTERVIEW: Kanye West sits down with Zane Lowe Pt 1

I found this whole interview to be very insightful, not just because of who Kanye West is as an artist/producer, but also because of what he had to say about the current world we live in. The interview became less and less about "Yeezus" and more and more about the state of the world, creatively speaking. My favorite part was when he spoke on racism, classism, and self hate. That we live in a world where we are okay calling ourselves pimps and players, but are not okay with having the self-esteem to consider ourselves gods. Of course, I don't think he meant that in the religious sense but I do feel that he hit a solid point in urban culture psychology. Why are we so apprehensive to the idea of seeing ourselves in such a high regard? And are we program to behave this way, by the larger corporations as Kanye West states in this interview? The interview raises a litany of good questions and is definitely a great watch. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did. ~alx.O
